Interesting people..

Earlier today was browsing through my files on my PC and found pictures that I’ve taken masa kat Busan last year. Busan was the first event yang I pegi that involves a major conference. Penat jugak la ke hulu hilir. Nak naik teksi mahal.. asyik jalan kaki je ke sana sini.. Makan pun susah.. memang senang la nak loss weight..

Anyway, during this Busan trip, ni la rasanya my workshop yang paling ramai participant yang have colourful characters..

Ni dia tengah set up kamera kat ILO- Director-General's Press Conference

This one, nama dia Tsewang (pronounce Cewang) Dendup– from Bhutan.. Tsewang ni memang kelakar orangnya..mulut becok habis.. Yang kelakarnya.. ada satu malam tu.. dia lepak-lepak kat kaki lima hotel dengan si Ana (Philippines).. Tiba-tiba a group of Koreans agaknya mabuk.. ingat dia Korean film star kot, datang nak amik gambar dengan dia.. lepas tu bagi duit banyak plak tu kat dia for the photos.. pelikkan..Dia mati-mati tolak.. tapi diaorang letak jugak dalam poket dia..Tak pasal-pasal dapat duit extra..

Chandana tengah interview one of Sri Lanka's Labour Minister

Ni plak Chandana dari Sri Lanka, Chandana ni memang baik orangnya.. tapi yang tak tahan tu, masa kitaorang kluar shopping (the only time pun, sebab esoknya dah nak balik), dia pegi beli payung untuk wife dia.. Kitaorang semua gelak bagai nak pecah perut.. yela.. jauh-jauh datang sampai Korea, bawak balik payung yg boleh beli kat mana2 pun. I told him that he should ask for our opinion kalau tak tau nak beli apa for the wife..Kat Busan tu.. accessories for women memang banyak sebab Koreans kan memang fashion conscious..Dia kata accessories tu semua kat Sri Lanka pun boleh jumpa.. Abih tu-- payung tak boleh jumpa ke???? Confius akak.. Anyway, during the second workshop kat Hong Kong, tanya dia whether wife dia suka tak payung tu.. as expected, wife dia pun confius jugak apsal la beli payung??? Moral of the story.. tu husband-husband yang pegi overseas tu, balik jgn la beli payung k..

Ni gambar almost everyone in the group -- minus a few people.. dari kanan ke kiri (belakang) Munshi (Bangladesh), Chandana (Sri Lanka), Narayan (Nepal), Geoffrey (Fiji), Laiq (Pakistan), Kenmada (Indonesia), Gary (HKG), Tsewang (Bhutan) and Mr Ramesh Agrawal (India)

Yang depan plak.. me.. Ana (Philippines), Monica (M'sia-RTM) & Daniela (Australia)

Mr Agrawal plak from India.. very elderly gentleman.. time makan aja, mesti ada dia offer akak makan sesama supply ration dia.. Almaklumla, dia vegetarian..memandangkan awak pun tak boleh nak cari proper food kat sana, makanya awak pun jadi la vegetarian.. Kesian kitaorang , asyik makan salad, jagung rebus, kacang2 plus of course ada la bawak ration dari Malaysia kan.. kalau tidak mana tahan.. Lagi satu Mr Agrawal ni memang terkenal dengan jokes/riddle nye.. Bila kita ramai-ramai sembang.. dia pun start la dia punye riddle.

Yang lain-lainnye.. tengok je la caption ye..

The geng menunggu bas nak gi shopping.. Kitaorang naik bas je sebab nak naik teksi mahal sangat..The one in white coat is Reza from Iran. And behind in green is Kenny - our secondment staff seconded by KBS, Korea.

Display of food menus on the front of the restaurant. Attractive kan ??

Tsewang buat kelakar kat station underground train..

Pimnara from MCOT-Thailand, Lip Khoon from Mediacorp Singapore, Chandana - SLRC(dengan payung yang baru dibelinya) and me

Craig (my ex-boss), Daniela from ABC - Australia and Monica from RTM - Malaysia

Matt Walsh (ex-CNN staff cum the trainer), Sophy and Karen Naets from International Labour Organisation - semua tengah kecut sebab ada satu mamat dari Korea, mabuk dan meracau-racau marahkan diaorang.. semua ni kat atas train nak balik hotel..

Me, in front of the entrance to the conference

Gambar a unique building kat Busan...

Tol gate Busan.. Kat Busan, driver duduk sebelah kiri.. rasa pelik sangat bila naik teksi.. selalu nak masuk sebelah driver..

Busan's view from my room at the Seacloud Hotel..

Another angle of the beach from the hotel room..

From Busan, decided to spend 1 night in Seoul.. Ni tengah shopping spree kat Seoul..

Shopping kat area stadium..murah sikit..

In front of a shopping complex..
Petrol station with an anciet rooftop...menarik tak ??

Weekend with the sisters...

Weekend baru ni memang layak dipanggil weekend Harry Potter.. Pening my kepala.. kiri kanan asyik everyone with Harry Potter.. My sisters - Yone and Cha decided to come down to KL last Saturday (Yone, right after collecting her Harry Potter book from the bookshop), Cha awai sikit sebab only 2 hours to get to KL from Melaka..

Anyway, planning awalnya Cha sampai dalam pukul 2.. terus nak tengok Transformers kat GSC Midvalley pukul 3.30.. Orang punye la ramai, queue pun panjang kan main lagi..Somehow all the Transformers ticket sold out sampai pukul 9.30, so terpaksala tukar plan..

Harry Potter pun sold out jugak, tapi yang petangnya still available sebab banyak hall bukak for Harry Potter..Call Yone, decide to watch Harry Potter pukul 6.10pm sekali dengan dia (walaupun dia sebenarnya dah tengok). While waiting, pegi la makan, solat (punye la lama nak tunggu – dekat 40 min baru boleh masuk surau – another long queue sebab surau kat basement tu dah ditutup) and shopping a little bit..

Seriously speaking, I am not a big fan of Harry Potter tapi setakat nak tengok tu bolehla - tu pun ada jugak yang tertidur.. But apa yang menyebabkan I changed my mind to watch the movie was because the night before, Astro showed Harry Potter –Goblet of Fire on HBO. And I thought it was really good and wanted to see what the Order of Phoenix all about. Memandangkan baca buku pun tak pernah, memang quite a letdown la bila tengok wayang… tak best pun..

Anyway lepas habis wayang, we all pun nak pegi makan kat Sate Kajang Hj Samuri kat MRR2 area UIA. Call la Yah, sebab Yah baru dapat good news and wanted to hear more about it..Dia tengah sibuk baca Harry Potter – tapi baru chapter 5, Yone dah chapter 8. So again, the conversation were surrounded by Harry Potter stuff and it all ended around 11.30.. Penat betul...Kesian Nasir ditinggalkan seharian, nasib baikla dia pun memang ada kerja and a lot of people to meet, so dia pun occupied la jugak..

On Sunday, sent Yone tu Putra LRT – dia nak gi jumpa kengkawan dia and by 12.30, hantar Cha kat Star LRT, terus gi Pudu balik Melaka..

So, that’s how I spent the weekend with the sistas!!

MRSM..15 Pelajar dibuang sekolah

MRSM.. teringat plak kat alma mater yang satu ni. Alam hidup bersekolah asrama penuh memang penuh dengan cabaran tapi tak kurang jugak keseronokannya.

Baru-baru ni heboh kes 15 budak MRSM Kuala Klawang (http://www.utusan.com.my/utusan/archive.asp?y=2007&dt=0715&pub=Utusan_Malaysia&sec=Dalam_Negeri&pg=dn_05.htm) - [eh.. camna nak link ni??] dibuang sekolah sebab bergaduh dengan student junior (form 2)..

Walau macamana pun..kesian la jugak kat bebudak tu.. at that age, memang fikiran tak matang lagi.. Bila sorang dah start bergaduh/pukul memukul, yang lain pun rasa syok la join sekaki.. But I seriously think that this is good lesson for the students to learn from, and a good decision taken by the school and the board. This will help to curb the bullies. Jangan sampai ada yang meninggal, baru tindakan nak dibuat – dah terlambat…
