Conference on "New public? What videojournalism, blogging and Co. mean for society and international radio"

The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung(FES) is pleased to announce that FES and Deutsche Welle are organising a conference entitled "New Public Space? What Video Journalism, Blogging et al Mean for Our Society and International Broadcasting” on January 15, 2008 in Berlin. At the expert conference politicians such as Gernot Erler, Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office, bloggers and executives of international broadcasting stations are going to discuss the challenge posed by the digital era.

It will be possible to participate to the whole conference as of 10 am (Kuala Lumpur time: 5 pm) via internet through live stream by using FES website
www.fes.de/medienpolitik. Bloggers and other interested internet users will be able to comment on the topics throughout the conference and their questions will be gathered through the dialogue box. A moderator will forward the questions to the participants of the panels. Conference information in English, the programme and other details may be found on the same website.
